Covid-19

In Greene County, 19,960 people struggle with food insecurity (12%) with 5,210 of them being children.

In 2020, 5.2 million seniors aged 60+ faced hunger. That's 1 in 15 seniors or 6.8% of all seniors.

The number of children facing hunger in the United States rose during the pandemic - from more than 10 million children in 2019 to nearly 12 million children in 2020.

The pandemic has increased food insecurity among families with children and communities of color, who already faced hunger at much higher rates before the pandemic.

GIVE

Financial donations are accepted and encouraged.  We put great effort into ensuring that each dollar provides as many items as possible.  Special relationships with vendors, bulk orders, and bulk pricing means that we can provide more food with less money than the average shopper at the local grocery store.   All of the donations received for Feeding Fairborn go toward buying, storing, or distributing food and personal hygiene items.  All people involved with Feeding Fairborn are volunteers, no person receives a salary for his or her work.  That means that 100% of your donation provides food and personal hygiene items to those that need it most in our community.

If you wish to donate financially, please click the giving buttons below, or mail your check made payable to Feeding Fairborn 164 Vine St. Fairborn, Ohio 45324.

Two Saturdays each month from 3-5pm, folks come and pick up free meals that they have ordered through the church website, during the previous week.  Typically the type of food that is served is "southern home cooking with tried and true family recipes."  You will never catch any of our cooks paying much attention to fat content, calories, or salt.

This little food pantry is located in front of the church and is accessible to anyone that might find themselves in need of food, personal hygiene items, or the Word of God. If you wish to drop off a nonperishable unopened food or personal hygiene items, you may do so day or night at your convenience directly into the blessing box.

Feeding Fairborn Food Pantry is an independent site located in the Wrightview neighborhood of Fairborn that distributes food and other products directly to those facing hunger.  Fill out the contact form at the bottom of this page to be notified of the Grand Opening, as well as ways
